Sugar Cookies
1/2 cup CRISCO
1 stick margarine or butter
1 cup sugar
2 cups flour (sift before measuring)
1/2 tsp. soda
1/2 tsp. salt
1 egg
2 tbsp. vinegar
1 tsp. vanilla
1 tsp, lemon flavoring
Mix sugar and butter together. Stir in all other ingredients. Bake
8 - 10 minutes at 350 degrees.

Pauline's Sugar Cookies
1 stick margarine
2 tbsp. vinegar
1 tsp. vanilla
1/2 cup CRISCO
1 cup sugar
2 1/2 cup flour (sift before measuring)
1/2 tsp. soda
1/2 tsp. salt
1 egg
Cream margarine, CRISCO and sugar. Add egg and beat a little
more. Add flour, soda and salt. Add vinegar and vanilla. Mix.
Drop by teaspoon or make small balls. Place on cookie sheet and
press lightly with a small glass or cookie press dipped in sugar.
Bake 8 - 10 minutes at 400 degrees.
