Drop Sugar Cookies
2 1/2 cup all purpose flour
1/2 tsp. soda
2 tbsp. milk
2/3 tsp, salt (may omit)
1/2 cup butter
1/2 cup CRISCO
1 cup sugar
1 tsp. vanilla
1 egg
Cream together last 5 ingredients, until fluffy then stir in dry ingredients
until smooth. Blend in 2 tablespoon milk. Ball into
balls and flatt en with a sugar glass. Bake in greased pan at 350
degrees for 12 minutes.

Aunt Annie's Cookies
1 cup CRISCO
1 stick margarine
2 cups sugar
2 eggs
1/2 cup molasses
4 1/2 cup flour
2 tsp. each cloves, cinnamon, ginger, mace, baking powder
Cream butter, sugar and CRISCO. Add eggs and molasses. Sift
dry ingredients together and add to mixture. Chill 1 hour. Make
into balls, 1" in diam eter. Roll in granulated sugar (optional).
Bake at 375 degrees on ungreased baking sheet for about 10 minutes,
or ju st until they start to tum color. Do not overbake. Let
set in pan 2 minutes, remove.
