Hoke Apple Pinwheel Cobbler
1 stick margarine
2 cups sugar
2 cups water
1 1/2 cup self-rising flour
1/2 cup shortening
1/3 cup milk
2 cups finely chopped apples
1 tsp. cinnamon
Blend shortening, flour and milk. Roll out into rectangle. In
a 13" x 9" dish, melt the margarine. On the crust, place apples
sprinkled with cinnamon. Roll up "jelly-roll" style. With a
sharp knife, cut into 16 slice s. Place pinwheels side by side in
buttered dish. Over this, pour 2 cups of warm water in which
sugar has been dissolved. Bake at 325 - 350 degrees about 45
minutes.

Apple Crisp
3/4 cup packed brown sugar
1/2 cup all-purpose flour
1/2 cup oats
3/4 tsp. cinnamon
1/3 cup softened butter
4 cups sliced apples
Heat oven to 375 degrees. Place apples in greased 9" x 11"
pan. Mix remaining ingredients and sprinkle over apples.
Bake about 30 minutes.
